Pilates Instructor,
Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer
Tammy is a Stott Certified Pilates Instructor and has been in the Fitness Industry for over 15 years. She has had a private practice of Personal Training and Massage Therapy in Encinitas since 1996. Tammy is originally from the east coast and came to California in 1989 while serving in the United States Marine Corps. She began her career as an Aerobics Instructor and Personal Trainer in 1989, and then pursued her love for massage in 1995. Tammy studied Eastern and Western massage modalities at Mueller College in San Diego finishing her Holistic Health Practitioner certification in 1999. She opened "The Pilates Place" in October of 2004.
Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer
Annie has been a Certified Pilates Instructor for 9 years and in the Fitness Industry for over 20 years as a Certified Group Exercise Instructor. She has a B. S in Physical Education from Arizona State University, and was the Fitness Director for Scripps Memorial Hospital for over 10 years. Annie has competed in fitness competitions and was named Miss Fitness for Laguna Beach in 1992. She is trained in the Stott method of Pilates and continues to keep her knowledge current, to give her clients the results they want.
Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer
Elyce has been active in Pilates instruction since 2001. She is a certified Pilates instructor through the Physical Mind Institute and West Coast Pilates. Elyce is also an ACE (American Council of Exercise) certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor. Her love for athletics, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle led her to this career in 1995. As an instructor she develops programs and workouts to help clients realize their personal goals (i.e. flexibility, core strength, posture, balance, mind/body connection, etc). When you can’t find her at the studio, look for her on the tennis courts.
Gyrotonic Instructor
Debby is a certified Gyrotonic instructor. Her interest in fitness
began when she was a dancer in Chicago, She maintained her healthy
lifestyle
when she retired from dance and moved on to a career as a flight
attendant.
In 2000 Debby was diagnosed with breast cancer, and again in 2004 when
her cancer metastisized. Chemo and other medications left her weak
and radiation left her hip muscles deteriorated. Debby was looking
for ways to improve her
strength and range of motion, and found the Gyrotonic Expansion
System, with a fluidity of movement reminiscent of dance.
"Learning Gyrotonic helped in my own rehabilitation of my hip,
improved my strength and brought me back to my passion of dance and
movement," Debby says.
Pilates Instructor
Amber discovered Pilates while completing her degree at MiraCosta College. She strongly believes in the benefits Pilates has offered her, and what it can offer every individual toward achieving their fitness goals. Amber completed the MiraCosta Pilates Certification course and is currently a full-time student at Cal-State San Marcos studying Sociology. She is also pursuing her Personal Training certification to extend her knowledge and depth in the fitness industry.
